About the Founder
Shannon Soong is the Founder and Managing Member of Focus In, where he works directly with small and mid-sized businesses to improve operational effectiveness and bring clarity to financial performance.
​
With over 25 years of experience across accounting, financial planning & analysis, and operational consulting, Shannon brings a practical, disciplined approach shaped by both large-scale organizations and hands-on advisory work in complex environments.
​
Over the past decade, Shannon has worked extensively in a management consulting and advisory capacity, including with F3 Group Consulting, supporting clients through distressed situations, crisis management, development projects, receiverships, and expert analysis. This experience has further strengthened his ability to quickly assess business conditions, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions in high-stakes and time-sensitive environments.

Prior to this, Shannon held senior roles at Shine America (21st Century Fox) and The Walt Disney Company. At Shine America, he served as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, overseeing business unit performance, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives, including supporting the acquisition of Shine by 21st Century Fox. At Disney, he held a senior controllership role supporting Studio operations and financial reporting.

Shannon began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in the Assurance & Advisory practice, where he developed a strong foundation in evaluating financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement across a range of business environments and industries.
​
Shannon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), and a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). Through Focus In, Shannon provides hands-on, senior-level guidance, helping business owners and their teams navigate both day-to-day operations and more complex challenges with the clarity and confidence to grow.
